On paper, an idea like the original Jammin’ Jars might sound a bit strange and even ridiculous, but you never quite know what will catch on in the world of online slots. The original has achieved legendary cult status, and the previous follow-up, Jammin’ Jars 2 is going strong as well. Giga Jar Cluster Link is a less volatile and brutal experience, which some may find reassuring, and it comes with the same 20,000x potential as you get in the first game.

There is no bonus round in this game, so your main focus is to get as many consecutive cascading cluster wins as possible. This is how you activate the roaming Wild Jars, and they come with increasing multipliers to boot. Get all 3 going, and you can get a static 2x2 sized Giga Jar as well, and it comes with a multiplier that tops out at x50. We had good fun testing Giga Jar Cluster Link, and we have a feeling that Push Gaming has hit another home run with this one.

This game comes with 6 cuboid shaped fruit symbols, and they pay between 0.1 to 1 x your stake for the minimum of 5 in a cluster. Land a cluster of 16+ matching symbols, however, and you win between 10 and 500 x your stake.

There is also the Instant Prize symbol, which pays between 1 and 1,000 x your stake per symbol. However, the instant prize symbols need to be part of a cluster win to pay.

All winning symbols are removed from the grid, and each removed cluster fills the Jar Meter on the left by +1. The Jar Meter awards different features, such as Wild Jars activation, Giga Jar activation, and Giga Jar multiplier upgrades.

At the end of a round that involves at least 2 cascades, the Snowball Feature may trigger. This adds 1 or 2 Giant symbols to the grid, and these come in size 2x2, 3x3, or 4x4. The giant symbols can be regular pay symbols, or they can be Instant Prize symbols.

The giant symbols break down to 1x1 sized symbols when part of a win.

The Ice Breaker Feature triggers at random times, and it removes 1 to 3 different types of pay symbols from the grid. This feature can also trigger at the end of a cascading sequence consisting of at least 2 consecutive cascades.

The Wild Jar steps in for pay symbols to help complete and/or improve wins, and the first Wild Jar activation is completed after 3 consecutive cascades. This adds a Wild Jar to a random position, and it jumps around to random positions per win it partakes in.

You get the second Wild Jar after 3 more consecutive cascades, and you need 3 more after that to unleash the third and final Wild Jar. Each Wild Jar multiplier starts at x1, and it increases by +1 per win the wild is part of. This also boosts the win by the achieved multiplier.

You get the Giga Jar when all 3 Wild Jar symbols are active at the same time, and you land 3 consecutive cascades. The Giga Jar becomes sticky when it lands, and does not jump around like the Wild Jars. It’s a 2x2 sized symbol, and it counts as 4 regular sized 1x1 wilds.

The Giga Jar multiplier starts at x1, and it becomes inactive after 3 cascades. It gets reactivated from 3 additional cascades, however, and each reactivation upgrades its multiplier.

The Giga Jar multiplier maxes out at x50, and everything resets after a non-winning spin.

Review Summary

Push Gaming has seen great success with their charming and vibrant Jammin’ Jars range, and Giga Jar Cluster Link is a highly entertaining follow-up. The good news is that it’s less volatile and taxing than Jammin’ Jars 2, but the 20,000x potential is less than half of what you can achieve in the predecessor. It’s hardly a deal-breaker though, and fans of the original Jammin’ Jasr will probably love this. The charming fruity disco vibe is going strong, and you get plenty of cascades all the way.

There is no bonus round to trigger this time though, so the whole game is about getting as many consecutive cascades as possible. This is how you trigger the roaming progressive multiplier Wild Jars, and eventually the Giga Jar.

The Snowball and Ice Breaker features help you out on occasions, and getting to the Giga Jar didn’t seem all that difficult either. The top-tier RTP of 96.48 % is solid as well, but you will be dealing with customizable RTP ranges. Overall, another solid installment in the legendary Push Gaming series.
