Cash Express Slot Review, Demo Play, Payout, Free Spins & Bonuses

Cash Express is a medium to high volatility wild west slot from Hurricane Games (powered by Stakelogic), and it plays out on 5x3 reels with 25 paylines. You’ll collect Train symbols to unlock up to 4 bonus round enhancers, and these help you out in different ways in the hold-and-win style bonus. Multiplier symbols are only collected when the bottom row is filled however, and all symbols drop down to the lowest possible position in the feature. Check our full review below the demo game.

Cash Express Review

There’s a saying made famous by the cult classic HBO series, The Wire, and it goes something like: ‘If you come at the King, you best not miss’. The original Money Train 2 has basically created its own genre by now, and Hurricane Games is thus challenging the alpha gunslinger in town with their Stakelogic-powered Cash Express. We don’t see Relax Gaming breaking a sweat however, as there is nothing here that can threaten their throne.

You get a Train symbol collect system that unlocks up to 4 bonus round enhancer symbols, but it’s possible to trigger the main feature without any enhancers at all. All symbols drop down to the lowest possible position during the bonus round, and only a full bottom row is collected and resets the respins tally. Overall, the attempt to be innovative falls flat, as none of the innovations actually improve anything, nor do they make this game even close to as entertaining as the source of inspiration.

Cash Express Slot Features

You can turn on the Super Stake ante bet if you wish, and it will cost you 40 % more per spin. The benefit is somewhat unclear, but it seems that your bonus round chances are increased. The paytable/info section also mentions another base game feature that may trigger, but we’re unsure what that might be.

The 4 character premium symbols pay between 8 and 20 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the sheriff star Wild steps in for regular pay symbols to help complete winning combinations.

The wild also pays the same as the top-tier gunslinger symbol if you land a pure wild win, and wilds tend to land in stacks.

All Train Symbols that land are collected in the meter above the reels, and this progresses you towards unlocking Bonus Enhancers that become active in the bonus round only. Your progress is saved between bet levels, and everything resets once the bonus round has played out.

The Cash Bonus Round triggers when you land 6+ Train Symbols anywhere in view, and you start with 3 respins. The triggering train symbols are carried over, and they can contain multiplier values or no value at all. The train symbols always drop to the lowest possible position on the 3x5 grid, and you need to fill the bottom row to collect the multiplier prizes.

Each time you’ve collected a filled bottom row, the respins tally resets to 3 again, and the feature ends if you run out of respins. The racked up multiplier prize is then applied to your total stake, and you’re taken back to the base game.

In addition to train symbols, you can also land whatever Bonus Enhancers you’ve unlocked before the feature started, and these work as follows:

  • 1st Enhancer - gives you a random multiplier value of x2 to x30.
  • 2nd Enhancer - gives you a random multiplier value of x2 to x50, and adds that value to all other symbols.
  • 3rd Enhancer - gives you a random multiplier value of x2 to x50, and gives you 1 extra row.
  • 4th Enhancer - gives you a random multiplier value of x2 to x100, and collects all other multiplier prizes in view.

Finally, non-UK players, and anyone eligible, can take advantage of the Bonus Buy option. This will set you back 100x your stake, and you’ll be assigned 1 to 4 bonus enhancers randomly when you purchase the feature.

The 200 Spins Cash Express Slot Experience

You get a decent taste of the base game, before we purchase the bonus round which triggers at 1:34 into the 4:15-minute highlights video. We got only 2 bonus enhancers though, and you can see for yourself how we fared by hitting the play button below.

Review Summary

The first thing that struck us was how awkward the pace of this game is, even with the turbo switched on. Each spin takes way too long, and there’s a cheap copycat vibe hanging over this whole production. The train symbol collect to unlock enhancers system is not very clever in our opinion, as you will many times trigger the game’s main attraction with zero or only 1 enhancer. This ruins the whole bonus, and it means you’ll have to start the collection from scratch again.

The need to fill the bottom row to collect prizes and reset the streak respins tally can be seen as innovative, but it’s hardly an improvement. Cash Express is competing against Money Train 2 and Money Cart 2, which both come jam-packed with modifiers that don't need to be unlocked. In addition, all cash symbols are collected, not only those on the bottom row, and there are no symbols without value that occupy positions either. The choice seems simple in our mind at least, and Cash Express will most likely sink into oblivion without making much of a splash.

Pros

  • Cash Bonus Enhancers unlock system
  • Cash Bonus respins w/ up to 4 enhancers
  • 100x bonus buy w/ 1-4 enhancers (not UK)

Cons

  • Beware of adjustable RTP ranges
  • Cheap copycat vibe and clumsy execution
  • The Super Stake benefits are unclear

If you enjoy Cash Express Slot you should also try:

Money Train 2 - is the smash hit release from Relax Gaming that the game at hand is clearly inspired by, and you get a respins feature with a progressive multiplier in the base game.

Cash Express Slot Review 1189

The hold-and-win style bonus round comes with 9 special modifying symbols, and you can win up to 50,000x your stake.

Money Cart 2 - is a version of the original MT2 where you’ll trigger the bonus round every 5 to 10 spins on average. The streak respins style bonus is exactly the same as in MT2, with 9 modifier symbols and all, but the max win is reduced to 5,000x your stake. The RTP is 98 % though, same as the bonus buy option in the original release.

Cash Truck - is an example of how to do a MT2 copycat release the right way, and you’re sucked right into a high-speed car chase in a convincing post-apocalyptic world. You’ll unlock positions and increase the win ways in the base game, and the hold-and-win style bonus round comes with 6 modifier symbols and a 25,000x potential.

Alright, the first thing to cover in Cash Express is the Super Stake – a regular from Stakelogic. Betting an extra 40% will trigger base game and free spin. Good on Stakelogic for trying something new, but Cash Express comes across a tad messy and is outclassed by more exciting hold & win styled games. There's no.
