The bonus features in Aquatic Treasures are not exactly revolutionary, to put it mildly. You can land a dolphin wild on the 3 middle reels, and it will expand to cover the full reel whenever it appears. If you land more than one wild adjacently on the reels, they will combine into a bigger wild. This makes no difference except for visually, and the only thing that’s a bit unusual is the fact that the wilds will also substitute for scatter symbols in this game.

Speaking of, the scatter symbol is an image of 2 golden dolphins circling a giant pearl, and it can land on all 5 reels in this game. However, you need to land the scatters on reels 1, 2 and 3 to trigger the bonus round here, which is kind of awkward. The good news is that the expanding dolphin wilds can come in handy, and help you trigger the bonus round.

There is also a scatter win of either 2x, 5x or 25x your stake, when you land 3, 4 or 5 scatters anywhere in view. Putting a game like Aquatic Treasures out there seems almost as naively innocent as the lovely dolphins you’ll meet in this game. The game is basically a feeder fish being dropped into a shark tank of volatile beasts, thinking it can survive on the merit of its cuteness alone. We have to admit that it’s almost touching that a developer would think this way, but there are loads of better alternatives out there for dolphin lovers.

The visuals are cute enough, but they seem dated. The game does what it promises, however.

It will put you in a “tranquil zen-like state” - a state of deep sleep. The math model is a disaster, with medium volatility and a measly 357x your stake potential. The expanding wilds and bonus round is about as generic as they come, and we don’t see this mild-mannered creature having much of a shelf-life in this cut-throat industry.
