The diamond wild plays a central part in all aspects of this game, and as a regular wild it steps in for all pay symbols to help you form winning combos. All winning symbols are removed from the reels due to the Avalanche mechanic, and new symbols drop down to fill the gaps. This process repeats as long as you keep landing new winning combinations.

NetEnt has a large catalog of successful titles they can inject with the Megaways steroids, and this has been their modus operandi so far. Fans of the original game will probably enjoy the heck out of this thing, but it comes with a few drawbacks. Triggering the bonus round seemed a bit hard, and the base game Dazzling Wild wins are mostly there to keep you afloat.

Things tend to get a bit tedious after a while, despite the bright colors and the unusual layout. When the bonus round finally triggers, it can get interesting. However, you will most likely need to build up the Dazzling counters in a significant way to close in on the 50,000x potential. Enough effort has been poured into this to make it a solid follow-up, but NetEnt has not really gone the extra mile to make it spectacular.
