10,000 Wonders 10k Ways is only the second installment featuring ReelPlay’s trademarked 10K Ways engine. However, we hardly believe cloning Hypernova 10K Ways is the best way to hype this already somewhat underwhelming attribute. Still, most savvy players understand that the real juice is usually squeezed in the bonus round, and the 10K Ways makes no difference in a hold-and-win style Respins feature. The Bonus Respins feature, as it’s called here, is a very run of the mill effort, with jackpots up to 2,000x your stake. The Infinity Reels engine has been a moderate success so far, and we don’t think 10K Ways will supersede it.

The Temple Wild symbol will only slide in on the top horizontal reel, and it steps in for all regular pay symbols to help complete winning combinations. The wild holds no value of its own, while the 4 premium picture symbols pay between 2 and 100 x your stake for 6 of a kind wins.

All winning symbols are removed and replaced by the Cascading Wins mechanic, and this feature goes on as long as you keep winning.

You trigger the Bonus Respins feature when you land 6+ Lamp cash scatters anywhere in view. The triggering cash symbols become sticky on a cleared grid, and you start with 3 respins in your tally. Any new non-blank symbols that land become sticky as well, and this resets the respins counter to 3 again. The feature goes on until you run out of respins, or you fill the grid with sticky symbols.

Review Summary

If the 10K Ways version of Hypernova Megaways came across as a bit superfluous, what to say about a straight-up reskin clone of that effort. The Aladdin theme is colorful, cartoonish and more down to earth, but ReelPlay could have scored some points if they upped the potential to match the 10K-infused title. Instead, they’ve decided to go with more or less the same 5,622x max win, although a tad reduced, perhaps as an attempt to escape the reskin stamp.

It’s also a bit strange that the whole trademarked 10K Ways engine is of no use in the hold-and-win style bonus round. It works like a Megaways engine on cruise control in the base game however, making it theoretically possible to crack the max win at any time. In practice, however, you’re most likely gonna need the top 2,000x jackpot to come close, and overall the feature does nothing to stick out from the many similar efforts being churned out every month.
