The Kingdom slot series from Just For The Win is now officially a trilogy, but we have a feeling the crafty developer will continue to produce follow-ups for the foreseeable future. Trojan Kingdom takes you to the legendary city of Troy, and it’s not too often you get to see this ancient wonder outside the context of the equally legendary Trojan War. Everything looks peaceful and idyllic in this game, however, but who knows how long it will last.

We have to assume the male warrior is the legendary Prince Hector, and the female is probably the equally legendary Helen of Troy. Her beauty launched a thousand ships and became the downfall of Troy via the infamous wooden horse, and both characters can land fully stacked. You get the usual Wild Scroll feature, but the Queen’s Bonus has been doubled to 10,000x your stake. You also get 2 bonus round levels, and both go on indefinitely.

The medium value symbols pay between 2 and 4 x your stake for 5 of a kind, while the 2 top-tier character symbols pay 10x your stake for 5 of a kind wins. The wild symbol steps in for pay symbols to help complete and connect winning lines, and it pays the same as the top-tier character symbols.

The character symbols can land up to fully stacked by the way, and they come in 4 different sizes.

Each bonus symbol that lands fills a segment in the Bonus Holder above the relevant reel or reels, and you need 3 collected bonus symbols per reel to trigger the Wild Scroll feature. Everything is saved between bet levels, and the Wild Scroll expands downwards from the top position on the reel per spin that follows. The Wild Scroll is removed after it has covered the entire reel for one spin.

The Queen’s Bonus can trigger at random times when a bonus symbol is collected in the base game, and you will then see 12 golden objects on the screen. You pick objects until you have revealed 3 matching Bonus Coins, and this awards the corresponding prize. The blue, green, red, or purple prizes pay 15x, 40x, 250x, and 10,000x your stake, respectively.

You need 3 free spins symbols on the 3 middle reels to trigger the Bonus Round, and you get an indefinite number of free spins.

The feature comes with an x2 win multiplier as well, and you start with a wild scroll on reel 3. Any new wild that lands triggers a new wild scroll from the positions it lands, and the feature ends when no wild scrolls are active on the grid.

The Super Free Spins Upgrade Meter is increased by +1 point each time you land 2 free spins symbols in the base game. You need to collect 20 points to upgrade the feature, and this gives you the Super Bonus Round the next time the bonus round triggers. The win multiplier is then increased to x7, and you start with 2 active Wild Scrolls instead of one. The scrolls are placed at the top of reels 2 and 4, and the feature then plays out like the regular bonus round.

Review Summary

It’s hard to be super pumped when you’ve seen the Greek mythology theme tons of times, but it’s not too often you see a slot set in Troy outside of the Trojan war context. The Hellenic visuals are pretty much what you can expect though, but the wild scroll feature does break up the base game on a regular basis to provide decent wins once in a while.

The same can be said about the Queen’s Bonus, and the top prize has been doubled to 10,000x compared to the 2 predecessor installments. The Super Bonus Round has been beefed up with an x7 win multiplier, compared to x5 in the previous releases, so overall there is no doubt that Trojan Kingdom is a superior release.

Still, we liked what JFTW did with the Egypt theme in Scarab Kingdom more than what they have done with the ancient Troy theme here.
