Lucksome rides into town like they mean business with what amounts to their first Wild West release, and what a debut it is indeed. 6 in the Chamber has everything it takes to make a massive splash in this popular genre, and the top dogs better watch out. The cartoonish visuals are neatly done, and you get to meet some fierce-looking bounty hunters. One of them looks like a Native American version of John Rambo, and you can take down insane bounties up to 100,000x your stake in this game.

The soundtrack sets the atmosphere from the get-go, and consecutive Cascading wins can trigger a gun that shoots down wilds and takes down bounty prizes for you. This is a futuristic cyberpunk take on the genre, so the weapons are more advanced than usual. There are 3 tiers to the bonus round, and each tier comes with more lucrative bounties to take down. What’s more, the gunshot feature always triggers to provide wilds and possible bounties per win/cascade, but the max win is reduced to 50,000x unless you’re willing to pay extra for the Hunter Side Bet.

The benefit is increased bounty values, and you can also trigger the Hunter Free Games feature organically in Hunter Mode (more about this below). Review Summary

Well, it’s certainly refreshing to see a Wild West debut release that’s hard-boiled enough to threaten the alpha gunslingers in the genre.

6 in the Chamber comes with an original futuristic theme that confused us a bit at first, as we’re not used to seeing laser sights in this genre. The gun that fires per cascade (at random times in the base game) to award not only wilds, but also possibly solid bounty prizes, is an innovative touch that really makes this game stick out.

Lucksome has done a great job with the visual presentation overall, and the Morricone-inspired soundtrack is a feast for the ears as well. Hunter Mode is not really a must either, as you can win solid prizes from the 2 lower-tier bonus rounds as well. The game allows you to keep track of the bounty prizes you’ve taken down, which is fun, but the bonus buy price tags do reveal the somewhat low average wins you can expect from the features. Low compared to NoLimit City games at least, but it’s hard to complain about a max win of 50,000x or 100,000x your stake (the latter is only available in Hunter Mode).
