The fiery Tiki theme reminded us of the original game as well, and we hope High Limit Studio attempts to carve out their own niche and path in the future.

We have seen countless 9 Masks of Fire clones by now, so it’s getting harder and harder to be excited about a new one. Studios should really consider doing something different with the concept by now.

Some studios do this, of course, but the budding Games Global partner, High Limit Studio, has only made a few changes to the math model. Flaming Tiki even comes with a similar fiery theme with masks, and we don’t see Gameburger shaking in their pants over this copycat effort.

You can land instant Epic Strike prizes up to 2,000x your stake in all stages of the game, same as in the original game, and there are more lucrative alternatives out there for sure. Still, it keeps the tension up, since larger wins can come out of the blue. The bonus round comes with an x2 or x3 win multiplier, which is also the case in 9MoF, and overall this was not a very memorable affair. Copying a successful slot is not really the way to go for a new and upcoming studio, and we strongly suggest they try to find their own voice instead.
