You’re taken into a classic museum setting in Red Tiger’s Stolen Treasures, and the medium volatile game plays out on a 5x4 grid with 25 paylines. Smaller instant prizes can be won in the base game when 2 treasure boxes appear, and you need 3 or more to get the Hold & Respin round. Prize positions can be doubled, and so can the total win, for payouts up to 10,400x your stake.

We are unsure what the “stolen” part of the title refers to, and it’s probably just a gimmick. Red Tiger is not one to stir up controversy most of the time, so we hardly think they are making a political statement of any kind. The treasures and artifacts in this game look innocent enough after all, but who knows how they got there in the first place.

The premium symbols pay between 2 and 12 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the Crown Wild can land anywhere to step in for pay symbols to help complete wins. If you land only 2 Treasure Box symbols in view, they both reveal in an instant prize that is summed up and paid.

Landing 3+ Treasure Boxes on the same spin triggers the Hold and Respin Bonus Round. More precisely, you get 3, 4 or 5 respins from 3, 4 or 5 triggering treasure boxes, and each box reveals a prize as they become sticky on the grid.

Only blanks or new boxes will appear in the feature, and each new sticky cash box resets the respins tally to the original amount of spins.

You can land treasure boxes on already occupied positions, and this doubles the existing cash prize. However, landing a box on an existing box position does not reset the respins tally. If you manage to fill all positions, the remaining respins play out to perhaps land you boxes that double existing prizes. The feature goes on until you run out of respins either way, and a full screen doubles the total prize value.

Red Tiger has a unique ability to surprise us when it comes to the max win potential, as many otherwise solid releases are sort of ruined by a low max win.

The opposite is also true once in a while, and Stolen Treasures is an example of that. Not to say that the decently solid 10,400x potential is enough to save the day exactly, and Red Tiger is not really known for having their win cap cracked all that often.

However, the potential does make Stolen Treasures a lot more interesting than it would’ve been with a mediocre win cap. The base game is admittedly as tedious as a school trip to a dusty museum, with smaller treasure box prizes not really doing anything to amend that. The prize doubling that goes on in the Hold & Respin round adds a bit of tension though, and not least if you manage to fill the whole grid to also double your total win.
