The Astro feature gives you a spin on an Instant Prize Wheel with 32 segments. The prize segments award between +2 and +1,000, as well as multipliers of x2 to x100. You will collect whatever prizes you land on until you hit the Collect segment.

The Flip is a pick game that plays out on a 6x6 board. You get 3 picks, and each pick reveals prizes between 1x and 1,000x your stake. Rockets do not reduce the number of remaining picks.

The Enhancement feature can boost the prizes by x2 to x20, and the prize of the first filled reel is collected. A second filled reel multiplies the original prize, and that happens from that point forward.

Having 2 filled reels activates a 3 life system, where each new symbol you land resets the life tally to 3 again.

A life is removed when only blanks appear, and the feature ends when you run out of lives. The feature also ends if you manage to fill all reels with symbols, and your total win is multiplied by the feature block bet.

We like that Push Gaming is pushing the boundaries of what a slot game can be, and Space Stacks is a highly innovative effort for sure. Whether or not it will be a success is an open question at this point, and it will take a while for players to get used to the gameplay. Most of the time the smaller instant prize reels get filled, and there are no features unless you actually bet on and fill a bonus reel.

This might be a problem for some players, as many regular slots come with base game features. Betting strategy is another element that becomes important in this game, and you get plenty of stats to help you out in the info section of the game.

The features are decent enough when they finally trigger, and they can lead to payouts up to 5,000x your stake. Overall, we think Space Stacks is an interesting attempt at innovation, but it will struggle to achieve mainstream success.
