Based on Greek mythology, Book of Demi Gods 2 is a spin-off to the Demi Gods slot series from Spinomenal, bringing an extra layer of entertainment with the hugely popular Book of Dead's winning formula. It's hard to count already how many slots has the cult Play'n Go's title inspired as the 'book of' concept has hardly ever lost its relevance and till now remains the most-played subgenre, so to speak.

At the time of writing, Spinomenal's Demi Gods series included 4 wonderful titles, and the fifth had already been announced. However, the second part appeared to be the most successful and even featured sequels, like a 15-line, Christmas, and Expanded Editions. Book of Demi Gods 2 is also based on the original Demi Gods II slot, though, here the developers take a completely different approach to the gameplay while leaving the design almost untouched.

Loading the game will take players to a familiar setting. The semi-transparent grid is set in a backdrop of a massive castle somewhere high in the sky above the clouds. The graphics are nice and charming despite the slot was designed a couple of years ago. However, it's certainly a lazy approach that the devs haven't changed anything and no efforts have been made to give it even a slight upgrade.

The soundtrack is also identical to the one found in the original title.

Book of Demi Gods 2 - Slot Verdict

It's not the first Spinomenal's attempt to produce a Book of Dead-inspired slot. The developers have already released a couple of slots based on that concept, and they seem to roll off the assembly line from a single template.

While Book of Demi Gods 2 has very few design differences with Demi Gods II, it's also identical to all of those Spinomenal's 'book of' slots in terms of the math model.

The most successful so far is the Book of Rebirth, featuring Egyptian style, while there are others with Aztec and fruit themes. The math model, as well as the gameplay, is what they have in common. Whether the above-mentioned title, or Book of Tribes and Book of Diamonds, they all come with identical stats and similar straightforward gameplay, and Book of Demi Gods 2 is no exception and sticks to the same pattern.

Do the developers think at least one will make it to the top as players' favorite. It's a bit unclear, but at least you'll have a nice variety to choose from. Anyway, while the design is what makes them 'different', the Book of Demi Gods 2 slot is the most appealing so far.
