The 200 Spins Experience

Before sharing the details, it's necessary to mention that we've tested this game before the release, so we're not sure if the real money game will be the same in terms of the figures and etc as the demo. Moreover, 200 spins aren't enough to provide any accurate or at least somewhat statistics or track any patterns, as even 5,000 spins are considered a short run and cannot provide any objective detailed info. Thus, here we describe our personal experience and share our subjective view on the game.

We actually do have quite troubled luck at times as we're pros in landing 15 consecutive dead spins, and even though we didn't break our insane record, it really felt like we had been going to. Like, was it due to a poor hit rate or waas it something wrong with us, but fact is fact that the first 100 spins were incredibly uneventful and we didn't manage to land a single feature and ended up with a loss of 60 bucks.

Nevertheless, another 100 spins remained to be completed, thus with the same level of enthusiasm, though, a little frustrated because of the outcome of the first spins, we continued our adventure through the alchemy lab. You can benefit from it, as every time you land the Wilds a big win is awarded, yet, you'll have to manifest a great level of patience or be blessed with fortune to do so.

Aurum Codex - Verdict

All said and done, Aurum Codex is a controversial game, to be honest. It covers a pretty interesting theme and comes with superb graphics and soundtrack, however, it still has some serious issues that spoil the overall impression. Most of the drawbacks concern the technical specs of the game, which include RTP, betting range, and the max payout. The RTP is meager indeed, and the narrow betting range paired with the max theoretical payout results in pretty poor win potential.

Furthermore, the gameplay actually leaves much to be desired. At times, the base games feels likes boredom since the only things to keep you entertained during it are the Wilds, and you'll obviously get bored while waiting for them to appear, not even talking about the Free Spins bonus. The hit frequency is indeed poor, and bonus features hit rate is a torture. 

Those not into the theme or too brutal math model won't find anything here to get super fired. Aurum Codex won't win everyone's heart for sure, and the top-notch visuals and fairly interesting theme are the main reasons players will feel drawn to spin the reels on it.
