Fruity Wild Bonanza Hold and Spin Review

We still have Candy Wild Bonanza fresh in mind, so StakeLogic certainly hasn’t hesitated when it comes to this follow-up release. Fruity Wild Bonanza Hold and Spin is basically a reskin job, so only the visuals have been replaced by a more healthy selection of fruit and classic symbols. Nothing else has changed, except a tiny difference in the top-tier 95.74 % RTP.

Well, it’s always nice to have a healthy alternative, and the gameplay is still easy-going and charming all the way. Switch on the Super Stake to spice up the base game with multiplier symbols that can combine, and enjoy the tension in the Hold & Spin bonus round. It comes with the same special symbols as before, and the max win is still a solid 20,000x your stake.

Fruity Wild Bonanza Hold and Spin Slot Features

You can turn on/off the Super Stake feature between base game spins, and keeping it on doubles your bet size. The benefit is an increased chance of triggering the Hold & Spin Bonus. The symbols pay between 0.25 to 10 x your stake for 8 or 9 matching in view, and 2 to 50 x your stake for 12+ matching in view.

There are no wild symbols, and the Cascading mechanic allows for indefinite extra wins per round.

Turning on the Super Stake ante bet has one additional benefit we didn’t mention above. It gives you Multiplier Symbols in the base game. The multiplier symbols come with values of x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x8, x10, x12, x15, x20, x25, x50, or x100, and they boost the total win. If you land multiple multiplier symbols, their respective values are added together before being applied.

The Hold & Spin Bonus triggers when you land 3, 4, 5 or 6 blender scatters in view, and it plays out on a 6x6 grid where only blanks or prize symbols land. You start with 3 spins, you get the same amount of sticky prize symbols from the get-go as the number of triggering scatters.

The spin tally resets for each new sticky prize symbol you land, and you can land the following special symbols as well:

  • Multiplier Symbols - comes with multiplier values of x2, x3, x5 or x10, and they boost all symbol prizes except the Collector.
  • Collector Symbols - collects the value of all present symbols, except the jackpot symbols. It also collects the value of all symbols you land from that point forward.
  • Jackpot Symbols - pays 30x, 100x or 500x your stake for the Mini, Minor, or Major symbols, respectively.

If you manage to fill the grid completely, you win the 1,000x Grand Jackpot on top of the sum total of your regular winnings. Otherwise, your total winnings are summed up and paid when you run out of spins. Non-UK players can buy 3, 4, 5 or 6 triggering scatters for 100x, 200x, 300x, or 400x the stake, respectively. The random scatters option costs 250x the stake.

The 200 Spins Fruity Wild Bonanza Hold and Spin Slot Experience

Review Summary

StakeLogic seems to have ironed out the spin pace problem we pointed out in our Candy Wild Bonanza review, and this goes for this installment as well (we probably tested a pre-release demo to be fair). Fruity Wild Bonanza Hold and Spin is basically the original game’s healthier sibling, as candy has been replaced by fruits. It’s probably a good idea to choose this version if you’re on a diet, or if you’re worried about the next dentist bill.

Other than that, however, it doesn’t really matter much what you choose, as the two games are close to identical in terms of features, gameplay and math model.

The Super Stake seems worthwhile since it does add a lot more tension to the base game, and the Hold & Win round comes with some decent modifier action. The 20,000x potential is solid, and it’s way above the run of the mill installments you may find in the streak respins genre.

Pros

  • Scatter Pay system and Cascading wins
  • Super Stake provides base game multiplier symbols
  • Hold & Spin w/ Collect, Multiplier, and Jackpot symbols
  • Win up to 20,000x your stake

Cons

  • Reskin of Candy Wild Bonanza
  • Beware of adjustable RTP ranges

If you enjoy Fruity Wild Bonanza Hold and Spin Slot you should also try:

Candy Wild Bonanza - is the candyland original release from StakeLogic, and it comes with the same scatter pays system on a 6x6 cascading reels grid. Multiplier symbols up to x100 are available via the Super Stake feature, and you get the same Hold & Win round with a 20,000x potential.

Fruit Party 2 - is a cluster pays Pragmatic Play installment, and fruit symbols fill up the 7x7 grid. Progressive multiplier wilds are generated in empty cascading positions, and they can go as high as x256. In the bonus round they can reach x729, and the max win is a decent 5,000x your stake.

Jammin Jars 2 - is the funky disco follow-up to Push Gaming’s iconic original, and it comes with a massive 8x8 cluster pays grid. You get multiplier wild jars with increasing multipliers, and you can upgrade the RTP level via gold vinyls.
